India will face South Africa at the Kensington Oval on Saturday.

Axar Patel emerged as the showstopper on Thursday, June 27, for India’s crucial against England in the semi-final of the ongoing T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue registered a dominating 68-run win over the defending champions. While batters like Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav helped India reach 171 for 7 in 20 overs, the bowlers did their job well, knocking down the England line-up for 103 in just 16.4 overs. Among them was Axar Patel, who, with his sensational spell, picked up the wickets of Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, and Jonny Bairstow.

Following the thrilling match and Axar’s extraordinary performance, Anand Mahindra did not miss the chance to share his excitement. Revisiting his old post, the Mahindra Group chairman explained how his lucky “Axar shades” were put to good use.

“Remember my good luck charm– my ‘Axar’ shades? Well, they were put to good use tonight,” he wrote.

In the original post from 2021, Mahindra shared a picture of his special glasses, the ‘Axar’s shades’, and wrote that he purchased the pair to watch a match. “I know, I know; no shades needed to watch TV and wife thinks I’m crazy but maybe it’ll be a good luck charm!!” he added.

Meanwhile, his recent post caught the internet’s attention, with many praising the business tycoon’s interesting prediction. A user wrote, “Sir were you watching the match or continued your Parampara. Prathista. Anushasan?”

Another commented, “Good prediction sir.”

One of the comments shared joy over Patel’s performance.

Users even urged Mahindra to keep the shades handy till the finale to witness the Indian team lift the trophy.

Mahindra’s post truly resonates with many other cricket fans who believe in the ‘magic’ of lucky charms for their team’s victory. Shared late at night, the tweet has garnered over 1,00,000 views.

India will now face South Africa in the T20 World Cup finals at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on Saturday, June 29.
