Many memes have surfaced after Donald Trump’s assassination, many of which poke fun at the failure of Secret Service agents.

Former US President and convicted felon Donald Trump narrowly escaped death after a man shot at him during his election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. After the dust settled down on the incident, a stream of memes and jokes emerged, many of which poked fun at the alleged failure of the secret service. Among these posts that are poking fun at the assassination attempt is a video that shows a group of kids enacting the scene when Donald Trump’s ear was scraped by a bullet. In the video, the kids dramatize the event by showing how the Secret Service agents tried to cover and move Donald Trump away from the rally.

The video appears hilarious also because of how the kids make the makeshift podium made out of stools and have weapons made out of wood. This video was initially posted on TikTok but is now going viral across social media platforms. On July 17, an This post has 1.1 million views so far.

In the comments, many people took potshots at the Secret Service agents who once failed to timely intercept the danger and then appeared flustered when the shooting took place. A user said, “What is so sad is that the kid had better protection than Trump did that day.”

A person commented, “This looks far more respectable than the fumbling, bumbling & deer caught in headlights response we saw in Butler.”

Another wrote, “I was hoping to see one of them struggle to holster their weapon.” The snarky comment referred to a female Secret Service agent who was seen reportedly struggling to put her gun back into the holster.

Someone noted, “These videos coming out from Africa of them mocking the political. Violence and Secret Service. These kids are taking over the media feeds and I dig it.”

An individual mentioned, “I’m dying. First, little kids in Africa know who Donald Trump is and what happened. And second, the comments are hilarious.”

Following Donald Trump’s assassination attempt, a wave of criticism was targeted at the female agents and Kimberly Cheatle, the director of the Secret Service. Their detractors have claimed that director Kimberly Cheatle and female agents were underqualified and hired due to the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.

The Secret Service’s chief of communications, Anthony Guglielmi, spoke against this sentiment and told The Hill, “As an elite law enforcement agency, all of our agents and officers are highly trained and fully capable of performing our missions. It is an insult to the women of our agency to imply that they are unqualified based on gender.”
