Mumbai’s troubles are predicted to get worse as a result of the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) heavy rain prediction for the next two to three days. The city has been heavily impacted by the ongoing monsoon rains. With heavy rains expected across the city on Monday, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for the city. For July 23, the Met Department has put out an orange alert. Meanwhile, Traffic around the city is being impacted by waterlogging caused by heavy rain. A bus is seen speeding through flooded streets in a video posted on X, while other individuals are seen walking in knee-deep water close to Kurla.

Numerous areas of Mumbai received more than 200 mm of rain in the twenty-four hours that concluded on Monday at 8 am The automated weather station of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation indicates that Trombay recorded the most rain (241 mm).
