During her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Anne Hathaway displayed her amazing ‘party-stopper’ cupcake-eating hack.
While there is no perfect way to have your favorite and most delicious cupcake, it won’t be wrong to admit that almost everyone has done it the Anne Hathaway-style. The Princess Diaries star once shared her brilliant cupcake-eating hack, which even “stopped a party.” It has been years since Hathaway revealed her secret hack, but the video still continues to gain traction on the internet.
Going viral once again, the video from an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show has all the attention. In the clip, the actress shows off her inventive style of eating a cupcake like a sandwich, leaving the host bewildered. All it requires is just ripping the bottom half of the cupcake and flipping it to put it on top of the frosting like a sandwich, and voila — it’s done.
“I didn’t realize that this was that unusual until I was at my friend Steph’s 40th birthday, and it got omicron-ed. So we couldn’t have a cake, so we did cupcakes. So I took my cupcake, and I did this thing, and it stopped the party. Now I have stopped parties before, but never for a good reason. And this was a good way to stop a party,” she said while doing it her way with the cake.
Clarkson looked deeply impressed as she said, “I’ve never seen anyone do this, but it reminds me of a whoopie pie.” Meanwhile, social media users also couldn’t help but react to the old video from 2022. A user wrote, “I’m proud to say that I eat cupcakes like Anne Hathaway,” while another commented, “That’s just pure talent.”
“I have been doing this since I was a kid,” a user noted, while another chimed in, “My granddaughter now eats cupcakes like Anne.” People also shared that they have followed the same tricks since childhood.
While the hack is indeed impressive and neat, The Intern actor is not the first to coin it. Earlier in 2021, the same cupcake sandwich trick went viral after a pair of Australian bloggers shared the technique. Many other social media influencers have shared their own unique versions as well.
