Gig workers like Rapido drivers often endure gruelling work schedules and inadequate pay. One might assume they seldom have the energy to go beyond their duties, particularly when it involves turning down rightfully earned income. Yet, for some compassionate souls, generosity flows effortlessly, regardless of the situation. A recent Reddit post highlighting one such consider Rapido driver is gaining significant appreciation.

On Friday, a Reddit user recounted how she stumbled and fell while walking home from the office, injuring herself. Despite someone witnessing her fall and laughing, they didn’t offer help and moved on. Distressed, the user booked a Rapido ride, and within five minutes, the driver arrived. Observing her condition, the driver expressed concern and learned about her internship during the journey.

When the woman tried to give the driver money, he refused because she was still just an intern. The Reddit user wrote, “I kept insisting but he said ‘when you get your own money then give it to someone who needs it. I try doing one good thing everyday, you are that for me.’” She added that this incident occurred during her second week in Bengaluru and it has shaped her perspective of the city. She concluded the post with, “Kind Rapido Man, I hope all the good things happen to you. I hope life is easier and happier for you. I wish all the good things for you.”

This post has gathered over 1,300 upvotes in just one day. Many people urged the Reddit user to reveal the details of the Rapido driver so they could openly express their appreciation for him.
