Tatyana Ozolina aka Moto Tanya’s journey ended abruptly near Milas when she lost control of her bike and collided with a truck.

Tatyana Ozolina, known as ‘Russia’s most beautiful biker’, lost her life in a severe motorcycle accident in Turkey. Known by her fans as Moto Tanya, she was riding her red 2015 BMW S1000RR on the route from Mugla to Bodrum when the unfortunate crash happened. As per reports, Ozolina lost control of her bike and collided with a truck near Milas. The impact was so intense that she couldn’t survive and passed away at the scene before the medical team could arrive. Her fellow rider, Onur Obut, survived the crash but is in serious condition and receiving medical treatment. A third rider present with them was unharmed.

According to The Sun, various local news sources stated that the accident was caused by a mishap within her own group. Reports suggest that another rider in her group accidentally collided with her bike, forcing her to brake suddenly. This caused her to lose control and collide with a truck, which led to severe head injuries. Although the motovlogger was reportedly conscious for a few minutes, she passed away before the ambulance could reach the spot. She leaves behind a 13-year-old son.

Meanwhile, Andrei Ivanov, head of the MotoMoscow Association, stated, “MotoTanya is not with us anymore, she had a bright and beautiful life. Millions of people followed her. Perhaps there is not a single motorcyclist in the country who was indifferent to Tatyana. She was adored, envied, admired, copied, awarded as a top blogger and at the same time, discussed and slandered. Now all that remains is her memory. Sleep well.”

Tatyana Ozolina had planned a Turkey ride after she was turned away at the Greek border due to EU’s restrictions related to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Her last social media update was a brief video from the Greek-Turkish border.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Moto Tanya wrote, “4000 km from home. Greece let me in but didn’t let my motorcycle through. Yes, I was in Greece on foot. I bought a souvenir and went back to Turkey. I was upset that I couldn’t ride around Europe, but not too sad because I knew this could happen. So, I went on to conquer beautiful, hot and hospitable Turkey.”

Days before the tragic crash, Tatyana Ozolina had posted a photo from Akcaabat, where she was traveling along the Black Sea coast from Georgia to the Greek border. Earlier this year, she received the Travel Blogger of the Year award in April from Kickstarter and was honored as the Motoblogger of the Year in 2023.
