Services across multiple industries have been affected globally following a massive technical problem at Microsoft and an American cybersecurity company, Crowdstrike. Microsoft Outage Affects Users Globally

The global disruption in Microsoft services has affected a number of sectors, mainly banks and airlines. Several Indian carriers, like Indigo, Spicejet, Akasa and Air India Express, are facing a major impact, leading to delays and flight cancellations. Users in large numbers have taken to social media platforms to draw attention to the chaotic situation.

While Microsoft, in a statement, assured that a “resolution is forthcoming,” CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz also addressed the issues.

Mentioning that the issue has been identified and it is not a security incident or cyberattack, Kurtz wrote, “CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted.”
