In 2003, his breakout album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album list and received a Grammy nomination for best rap album.

Following the former US president’s assassination attempt, 50 Cent employed Donald Trump’s visage on the iconic cover of the album Get Rich or Die Tryin. Standing behind seemingly bullet-shattered glass, the 49-year-old hip hop musician had his face photo-shopped onto the artist’s shirtless, chiselled torso. The song Many Men appeared to be a homage to the shooting at the former president’s Saturday campaign event. It is also based on the 2000 incident in Queens, New York, where 50 Cent was shot nine times.

On Saturday night, the rapper also teased the viral cover by posting on X, “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending.”

Page Six reports that the rapper performed the song Many Men from his 2003 debut album on Saturday night during his concert in Boston while showcasing the edited picture.

According to Genius, the lyrics were, “Many men wish death upon me / Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can’t see / I’m tryin’ to be what I’m destined to be.”

Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s X post accumulated more than 16 million views. In the comments section, the user stated, “Authorize him to use Many Men for his campaign.”

Another user commented, “The internet never fails.”

“Game recognizes game,” read another comment.

Meanwhile, the shooting incident involving Donald Trump on Saturday, July 13, at an election event in Butler County, Pennsylvania, was the first significant attempt in 43 years to kill a former or current US President or presidential candidate.

Secret Service officials quickly hauled him offstage to his limousine, blood splattering across his face and evident around his right ear. After being sent to a local hospital, the Secret Service deemed Trump “safe.”

The shooting, which left one spectator dead and two more critically wounded, was later characterised as an “assassination attempt” that would have qualified as a domestic terrorism incident by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as per a report by The Telegraph. The accused was identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Pennsylvanian Thomas Matthew Crooks.
