The victorious Indian cricket team, fresh from their T20 World Cup triumph, made a grand return to India on Thursday morning aboard a charter flight. Their first stop? None other than the Prime Minister’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, where they shared breakfast and exchanged pleasantries with PM Modi. A viral video captured their entrance, culminating in a memorable moment as they proudly displayed the trophy alongside the Prime Minister.
However, amidst the celebrations, all eyes were on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s hairstyle, which sparked a wave of amusement online. Sporting a hairstyle reminiscent of school days, complete with perfectly slicked-back hair, Jaiswal unwittingly became the centre of attention and a magnet for memes.

This isn’t the first time Jaiswal has become meme material. Earlier, as Ruturaj Gaikwad led Team India on their journey to China for the Asian Games 2023, the squad, including talents like Rinku Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Arshdeep Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Rahul Tripathi, Shahbaz Ahmed, and others, commenced their intense training sessions in China. Amidst the buzz of mirror selfies and gym workouts shared on Instagram by Rinku Singh, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal’s peculiar pose, with his shorts riding high on his thighs, that grabbed the attention of keen-eyed users. This sparked a flurry of humorous comments about his ‘waxed, thick’ thighs.
Nonetheless, alongside Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal will also be honoured at the Vidhan Bhavan. Both houses of the Maharashtra Legislature have unanimously passed a resolution congratulating the Indian cricket team for their outstanding ICC T20 World Cup victory.
